Laurance Rand
Laurance Rand graduated from Harvard in 1966 and spent the next forty years teaching history and constitutional law and coaching squash racquets, baseball, and tennis at Kent School. He took one year off to research and write a biography of his great-grandfather (High Stakes: the Life and Times of Leigh S.J. Hunt), chaired the History Department for eighteen years, and lives with his wife, Carol, in Sharon. An avid golfer and tennis player, he is currently a member of the Sharon Planning and Zoning Commission as well as its Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission.
