Richard Paddock
Dick Paddock is a retired engineer who spent 30 years designing computer related equipment ranging from single chip microprocessors to massively parallel supercomputers. After retirement he focused on his lifelong interest in the history or the iron industry and railroads in the Salisbury,Connecticut,area. He is a vice president of Friends of Beckley Furnace, a non-profit corporation which cooperates with the State of Connecticut in promoting and developing the Beckley Furnace Industrial Monument. He has worked with that group to develop interpretive signage, exhibits and extensive documentation of the history of the site. He is also active in preserving the railroad heritage of the northwest conrner and writes an ongoing series of articles titled "Rail Tales" for The Lakeville Journal.
